Hello,
As the title suggests, I don't have the "style preset" option in my visualizations tab. I'm using the latest version: Version: 2.144.679.0 64-bit (June, 2025). Here is the theme I'm using to test it out but it's still not working (this is from Microsoft):
{
"$schema": "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/microsoft/powerbi-desktop-samples/refs/heads/main/Report%20Theme%20JSON%20Schema/reportThemeSchema-2.143.json",
"name": "Style Preset Demo Test",
"visualStyles": {
"columnChart": {
"*": {
"stylePreset": [{
"name": "Demo Preset 1"
}]
},
"Demo Preset 1": {
"legend": [{
"position": "BottomCenter"
}],
"valueAxis": [{
"gridlineColor": { "solid": { "color": "#950" } }
}]
},
"Demo Preset 2": {
"legend": [{
"position": "Right"
}],
"valueAxis": [{
"gridlineColor": { "solid": { "color": "#00f" } },
"labelColor": { "solid": { "color": { "expr": { "ThemeDataColor": { "ColorId": 2, "Percent": 0.6 } } } } }
}]
},
"Demo Preset 3": {
"legend": [{
"italic": true,
"position": "Left"
}]
}
}
}
}
And here is the line chart using this theme and it doesn't have style preset option:
Finally, here are screenshots of my "preview feature" setting:
Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance!

Hi @rkhidesh,
As you indicated, style presets can be applied to visuals like bar, line, and column charts when defined through a custom JSON theme.
I think the recent update I mentioned earlier in my response included this support. On May 20, 2025, it was published as a solution to a known problem.
Thank you again for highlighting it with official documentation and video references.

Hello @Thejeswar,
Thank you for your message.
I believe it's possible since there is an example of applying style preset to bar chart and line chart on Microsoft's page and on YouTube.
Here is an example where they are applying style preset to a bar chart and it's from Microsoft: Use report themes in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
And here is a YouTube video where someone can apply style preset to a barchart (skip to 7m:29s) New Secret Weapon for Power BI Designers | Style Presets - YouTube
Thank you in advance.

The only problem is that I am not getting any errors in my PowerBI. It's just not working. I even used a test pblix file and Microsoft's theme but it's still not working.
Hi @rkhidesh,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.
Please check the @Thejeswar and attached the known issue regarding the Power BI visual warning about Style preset not found.

Hi @rkhidesh ,
Layout options and Style Presets are available for Table and Matrix Visuals only. But they are not available for Other Charts like Line chars, bar chart, column charts, etc.
Instead you can use Effects options to update the look and feel of the visual
