Good day,
I've created a report with 12 queries-- 11 from ODBC sources (all BPFIN, various tables within), and one which is a merge of all of the rest. When I click "Ciose and Apply" Power BI attempts to apply all of the changes from when I created the queries, but gets stuck. The merged query states "272,672 rows from dsn=BPFIN", meanwhile all of the rest are "Creating connection in model..."
I've tried many things that I've seen on various posts already--
My Current File Data Load options are set as follows:
"Automatically detect column types..." -- OFF
"Import relationships from datasources on first load" --OFF
"Autodetect new relationships" -- OFF
"Auto date/time" -- OFF
"Allow data preview to download in the background" -- ON
"Enable parallel loading of tables" -- OFF
None of these tables have millions of rows, and the merge is the best way I've found to accomplish what I need to for this particular query.
Can someone assist in getting this report to successfully apply the query changes so I can start building the visuals?
Thanks,
Hi @mmaster ,
I faced a situation like that, in my case I had a lot of queries submitted from PBI to the database. It had a query running forever on the database and it was locking all the others queries, after kill that session it was ok (I just solved it changing the sql and add an index to the database).
Can you check it ? Also, check your code running on database directly.

Maybe you can take a look at the following links:

I hope this Helps!

Unfortunately this was not the case. The only query running is the one that PBI is asking to run when I go to apply changes.
@mmaster ,
Have you checked your database driver version ?
Also how is power bi consuming your memory ?
