Hi All,
I am trying to concatenate 2 strings in query editor (in Direct query mode).
But i am getting the below error while applying the changes in query editor.
"This query contains transformations that can't be used for Direct Query".
Can anyone please help me on this issue.
Thanks,
Subash
Hi @Anonymous,
It is not available to add custom column to concatenate 2 strings in Query Editor mode when data connection is live. As a workaround, you could create a report lelvel measure with DAX function: CONCATENATE
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi Yuliana Gu,
When i am using the CONCATENATE function in dashboard level, i am getting below error.
Thanks,
Subash
Same here. I am also getting same error
Hi @Anonymous ,
What measure formula did you write when using CONCATENATE?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi Yuliana,
I was trying to create a calculated column to concatenate in direct query mode and got the same error as Subash. I was trying to join Key and Text to use in a filter.
Regards,
Sapan
Were you able to find any solution? I am facing the same challenge right now.
That's odd, according to this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/analysis-services/tabular-models/dax-formula-compatibility-in-d...
CONCATENATE should be supported in all DAX formulas.
