Solved: Streaming Data with Excel File

All,

I want to enable email alerts on my report. I have read that you need "Streaming Data" which is the same as live data.

I currently use an excel file to import the data into PowerBI. What steps can I take for my excel file to count as streaming data?

Any suggestions?

Hi @aishak12 ,

According to your statement, I think you want to set an alert for some conditions. As far as I know, Power BI support us to set alerts for dashboard. Here I suggest you to create measures which will return values based on conditions. Then create a card visual by this measure and pin this visual to the dashboard. Finally, you can set alert for this visual. For example, you can mange Power BI to send email when value less than 10.
