Stop date filtering in unrelated tables

Hi PowerBI afficionados,

I have a list of projects with a Start date and End date.

What I am trying to achieve is to visualize the number of open projects (so projects which have started, but are not closed in a previous time frame). The time slicer should only filter the selected time frames, but currently it filters the start dates and end dates as well.

I have a separate Time Table which has no active relation to my Projects Table.

Visualizations below.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
