Hello,
I've been trying to get my matrix to show actual data values but it keeps aggregating the data. I tried the "Don't Summarize" but it still didn't work. Below is an example of my matrix.
As shown in the screenshot. My "# of Units Found" should be showing values showing in the raw data below instead of the total sample size. I did try other options like maximum/minimum/average which does not show the number that I want.

@MasonMA Funny enough. As I am making a sample file to upload, that sample file was able to show the raw data that I wanted. I am guessing since I use the exact same "Particle Type" field in another query instead of the raw data query, it confuses Power BI somehow. Once I use the "Particle Type" field of the raw data query, its working.
Hi,
Are the '# of Units Found A and B' the Power BI implicit measure you used from your table - '# of Units Found' for your Matrix visual (by that i meant you dragged the columns directly onto your Matrix visual)? or that you created DAX measure for report?
If it is the DAX Measure you are using, please share it so that others can take a look.
Hi @MasonMA,
This field is dragged into the visual and not a DAX measure. Also, I do not have the option to choose "don't summarize."
@AliceTran1643 ,
You won't get the option of "Don't summarize" in matrix visual's value section. Pull that field into Rows section and then select Don't summarize. Refer to reply 8 of this thread.

This shouldn't be an odd issue from my instinct, but could you share .pbix or the sample file with only the related data and Matrix so that other users can have a look?

@AliceTran1643,
To be honest, aggregation has nothing to do with other fields (Particle Type in your case) of the visual but happy that your issue is resolved !
@AliceTran1643 ,
Also, if you are using a Matrix, you need to compulsory have an aggregation. Pull the numeric field into Rows and use below layout:

Hi @AliceTran1643,
You can choose "Don't Summarize" from the fields taken in visualization.
Another observation - If you take the summarized field first in the table/matrix and then format the column to Don't summarize like you did in screenshot, it will still keep the aggregation. In that case, you need to remove the field and add it again. Basically, format the field forst and then take it into the visual.

@Anand24 I did format the field first before adding it into the Matrix. The 2nd screenshot is showing that. I do not have the option i choose "don't summarize" for the column itself. See below.
Also, I tried moving the field to rows and this is what it turns out which is not what I'm looking for.
Intead of putting the column into the Values Section, drag and drop it into the Rows Section of the Matrix
If this helped, please consider giving kudos and mark as a solution

Hello @Zanqueta,
Thank you for the links to the 2 posts. I did tried the suggested solutions but the results is not what I'm looking for.
