Standard Deviation Part 2

Hi Expert

here is the link to the fist part of the question which an expert Ash solved and provideed excellent feedback.

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Standard-deviation-of-a-calculated-measure/m-p/715695/highl...

What i want to do not is amend measure 2. so that the value of 6.5 std dev is used in the formula as opposed to the overall std dev as shown in the quesion 1017.2. ref to tab Duplicate of Test_

Here is the formula to get the upper and lower bands

Capture.PNG

s = 6.5 from table re previous quesion

n = 13 refer to measure "HP Outcome Type"

Hi,

Does this mesure work?

=1.96*[Revised]/(DISTINCTCOUNT([HP Outome Type])^(1/2))

Revised is the measure which returns 6.5 in the last column.  HP Outome Type is a column.

Hi,

I'd like to help but am not clear about your desired result.  What should the value of the mean be i.e. the X bar?  Do you want this for each year or for all years put together?

Hi Ash

the x bar is the upper and lower limits of the total std dev so for "Revised" the Std Dev is 6.5, its the upper and lower bands for that.. n 1s the total observations in this case 12977.

and its not caclulated for each yr. many thanks once again.
