Standalone Filter

Hi All!

How I can create a standalone filter?

In order to:

  • use it on all measures;
  • edit it once in one place.

Thx.

It is not possible to create a Variable or Filtered Context and use it in multiple Measures instead, create a separate table filtered from the source data according to need and than use all the measures based on that table.

Hi @Lewa

Is this so that you can set the slicer once and filter the whole report? You need report level slicers I believe. Watch this short video and let me know how you get on. https://youtu.be/CuT5Wtld_iU

Thanks

Hi, @shebr

Nope, I talking about standalone filter code.

For example:

1. Many aggregate measures have a one filter:

VAR FILTER1 = FILTER(VALUES(Table1); USERPRINCIPALNAME() = Table1[EMail])

2. I want to edit it

3. I have to edit every measure

I want to edit it once in one place. The problem is, I can't keep a standalone filter on an measure.
