Stage movement visualization

Dear All,

I have to create a visualization to display the stage movements of two compared years.

I have the CP (=Current Period) Loan and PP(=Previous Period) Loan tables and they are connected with the Stage, as you can see it:

makaayklub_0-1622107731656.png

Stage can be 1,2,3.

My problem is that there are "new" and "gone" loans, so the one that did not exist in the previous period and the one that existed previously, but not in the current period.

My aim is to create some visualization like this:

Where you can see the stage movement in every relation.

The problem is that with the current relationship, the rows can not find each other and the error message comes up.

If I change the relationship's Cross filter direction to "both" (I can do it on only one of them), at least it shows the values in the diagonal, so where 1->1, 2->2, 3->3.

Could you suggest me a solution to get this visualization, please?

Please note, this will be a template, so users will load the different datasets from a server.

Thanks

Dear @v-robertq-msft ,

Thank you for your inputs!
In the meantime, I have merged PP and CP tables and based on this, I have created the following visualization:

This is more or less the solution I'd like to achieve.

Thanks and regards,

Hi, @Anonymous

According to your description and sample picture, I think that the scatter chart in the Power BI can roughly meet your requirement, but you have to replace the value “not present” in the column [1_Stage 2018] to 0 because the Y-Axis of the scatter chart can only support the number type:

More info about the scatter chart in the Power BI

If this result is not what you want, you can post some sample data(without sensitive data) and your expected result so that we can help you in advance.
