Split into rows

Hi All,

I have a question on the split a column into rows. But when i perfor that action the total value would get affected.

is there any possibilty to keep the total same and have the individual GPN for filters.

Before Delimiting to rows  After Delimiting to rows
GPNValue GPNValue
XE01,XE02,XE03100 XE01100
XE04,XE05200 XE02100
Total300 XE03100
   XE04200
   XE05200
   Total700

But ofcourse,

Load your file as usual, in the transform window select Split Column --> By delimiter

in this window click the dropdown arrow at Advanced options and under split into: select Rows

you might want to choose to remove the bottom total row and make use of the automatic total function when selecting a table in the power bi visualizations editor. Hope this helped!

Great answer!

@Anonymous  a quick tip; when you select Advanced options in the split columns by delimiter window, you can select split by rows. This saves a step for pivotting your table!
