Source different in Devellopment and Production

I hae an excel file with a sheet  A and some data in it.

I have made a powerbi presentation of that data.

After publishing the powerbi file, I'v added more and more data in this excel-file. the refresh of the data in the service is working well, but it takes a lot of time (let's say 20minutes).  I don't see at this moment how I can optimize the calculation.

Now I have to change the type of powerbi presentation. (other kind of graphics, additional filtering, new tabs, ... à

I'm doing this adaptation in my devellopment environment and sometimes the file has to be refreshed. At that time I have to wait 20 minutes.

How can I devellop with a smaller source file (let say sheet B in the same excel file, smaller number of rows, but the same structure of sheet A), adjust my pbix-file, deploy it and then tell to the system that he need to use the sheet A.

Thanks in advance for any idea.

Typically you would do something like that using a query parameter.

I was thinking in the same direction 🙂

I hoped there was another way because I am new to the principe of query parameters

Meanwhile I'v figured it out how I can solve this issue!
