Source Spacing option for Data label on Card visual no longer appears to work in Power BI Desktop

I currently have Power BI Desktop February 2021 edition installed and it appears that the "Source Spacing" option no longer is working correctly on Card Visuals - this issue continues to propagate into the Power BI Service on Azure as well.  Specifically the feature I'm referring to can be found here on the Card visual:

How it used to work is that when I have a source column or measure with a value of something like:

"This is my          message" <-- making sure to emphasize the large amount of spaces between the words "my" and "message",

Source Spacing used to remember the large amount of white space between "my" and "message"

Now unfortunately if I create a Power BI report with multiple sheets and turn Source Spacing on, it fixes it in the current sheet, but if I go to another sheet, and then return to the original sheet, all of the white space between "my" and "message" is removed and replaced with a single space instead of several spaces

There's many cases where I desperately need the additional spaces for visuals to look aesthetically correct, so it would be great if someone could please look at this!  It used to definitely work in 2020 - not sure what happened recently to change the functionality

Hi @AndrewLGoldman,

Does the issue still exist?

Could you provide screenshots of the changes before and after switching worksheets?
Or could you provide the pbix file after removing sensitive information so that I can check your issue in my environment.

Best Regards,

Hi @v-xulin-mstf Link,

I was just able to reproduce the issue but I'm not totally sure how to attach the Power BI file to this thread.  Here's the screenshots though! ->

1. Create Excel file with two rows with extra spacing on the text:

2. Open PBI Desktop and save a new PBI file.

3. Create a 2nd page/sheet so you have two pages - Page 1 and Page 2

4. Add a card to Page 1 and load Dummy Text as the field:

5. Update card format - turn off all options (Category label, Word Wrap, Title, Background, Visual Header, everything off) ->

6. Update data label settings to be as follows in screenshot:

7. Switch to empty page 2:

8. Switch back to Page 1 changing nothing on Page 2:

9.  Source spacing is now off/incorrect on page 1 even though "Source Spacing" is toggled on still:

Hey @v-xulin-mstf Link, I was wondering if you were able to reproduce the issue as well with the steps listed above?

And if so, is there a good place to submit a bug report to the Power BI development team?

Thanks in advance!
