Hi
I read many similar issues with sorting but could not find the proper solution for my case.
The situation is quite standard:
I want to sort a column "subheader" based on a column "subheader order" ... and I get an error message.
My approach to solve the issue;
1) I trimmed and cleaned all Subheader entries .... still getting the error message
2) I created a table with Subheader and Subheader Order ... no duplicates shown ... still getting the error message
3) I deleted all but 10 rows of the table ... still gettig the error message
4) crying out for help in this forum ....
Seriously, I have no clue why I cannot sort. Can anyone help me out?
Best regards
Franz
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try running the following in Dax view or Dax studio to confirm only two distinct rows are returned
Evaluate
summarize( datum, datum[subheader], datum[subheader order])
Try closing and opening Power BI and give it a go again
Try tabular editor
Try TMDL view
Hi Deku
I followed your suggestions ... and it worked.
I must confess I don't know why, but it worked 🙂
Thanks a million.
Regards
Franz
Are you sure there are not any blank rows?
Hi Andrew
Yes, there were only 10 rows and no blanks.
