Sorting Columns in Matrix

I have a matrix, where I want to sort the column headers in the cronological order as it is the data table. Whatever I try, the matrix sort column headers alphabetic. I have tried adding numbered IDs for my column data, so it could sort it descending, but it seems like I only can sort on the row or value and not on the columns?

I do not have the option "Sort by column" in my Power Bi Desktop

Hi, @NadiaK

Thanks for @Wilson_ reply. Actually, Power BI Desktop has the Sort by column feature.

Thanks @v-yaningy-msft

Do you also know, if it is possible to rotate the headers in the matrix visual, so it is vertical og then save some space in the columns width?

Hi, @NadiaK

Does turning rows into columns and columns into rows meet your needs? Or manually make the column widths smaller(Place the cursor at the edge of the column).

In my understanding you want to have the same effect as in the picture below, so as to save the entire matrix rows.

Sorry for not being clear. What I mean is to have the header title rotated, so it is vertical in the cell like:

Hi, @NadiaK

In fact, the feature you want is not available in the current version of Power BI. You can submit an idea for here and the product team will take note of such a need.

Hi NadiaK,

The ideal solution would be to ask whoever can edit the model to do the Sort by Columns option that you mentioned.
