Hi @Chandu_Tevakoni

I found some solutions for the same problem on the Snowflake Community, you can try them out. It seems that you need to make some changes to the account or permissions in Snowflake. I hope the following links would be helpful.

Could you ask the Snowflake admin to add your email which you are using for power bi, so you can able to access to the database from here.

IF THIS HELPS YOU PLEASE MARK THIS AS A SOLUTION

Hi @Chandu_Tevakoni

There could be several reasons for authentication issues with Snowflake. One common cause is using the wrong username. Snowflake typically requires a username to log in, not an email address. Here's how you can troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Steps to Troubleshoot and Resolve:

  1. Verify Your Username:

    • Log in to your Snowflake account using a web browser.
    • Navigate to your Profile or Settings section to find the username assigned to your account.
    • Ensure you use this username, not your email address, when connecting through Power BI.
  2. Check with Your Snowflake Admin:

    • If you're unsure about your username or don’t have access to your account settings, contact your organization's Snowflake administrator. They can confirm your username and ensure your account has the necessary permissions.
  3. Test Both Username and Email:

    • Try logging in with your username instead of your email address in Power BI.
    • If neither works, this can help identify if the issue lies elsewhere.
  4. Review Authentication Method:

    • Ensure that the authentication method in Power BI matches what is configured for your Snowflake account (e.g., Username/Password or SSO).
    • If your organization uses SSO or OAuth, confirm with your admin if additional steps are required.
  5. Reset the Connection in Power BI:

    • Go to Data Source Settings in Power BI Desktop.
    • Clear the credentials for your Snowflake connection and reconnect using the verified username.

    • If the problem persists, it’s recommended to reach out to Snowflake’s technical support or Power BI’s support team for further assistance. They can help identify and resolve any specific issues related to your setup.Link to opening support ticket :
