I have been beating myself over the head for a few days trying to figure out how to correct insert smart text into a text field. I have written and rewritten measures and haven't been able to get the right data The main hurdle is my data set has multile variables including date, Country and lbs. See below for example
Date Country Lbs Exported too
01/2021 US 15.2 MX
01/2021 US 11.2 CH
02/2021 US 7.3 NZ
02/2021 US 7.5 CH
03/2021 US 5.2 MX
03/2021 US 4.2 CH
04/2021 US 3.5 MX
04/2021 US 10.5 CH
01/2021 NZ 11.5 US
02/2021 NZ 8.5 CH
03/2021 NZ 9.2 MX
I need to be able to filter by Country, date and Lbs. Below is an example of what I am trying to insert. The red text it the variable data. The idea is that this data updates every month based off new data entered.
The largest monthly value in the past 3 years was {date} at {lbs}. The top 3 countries exported to were {county1} ({% of total}), {country2} ({%of total}) and {country3} ({%of total}). The US imported {lbs} of butterfat. This was a {increase/decrease} of {YoY%Chg} over last year.
Hey @Anonymous ,
if you want this specific text, you have to create all the measures that you need for the text and then combine them to a text-measure. This you can then display.
If you're more flexible, you can use the smart narrative feature:

That's what I've been working on. I'm having issues setting up measures for each item I need.
Hi @Anonymous
Can you use the expected values to replace the red variables in the sentence? I can guess the expected output of some of the variables, but for the last sentence "The US imported{lbs}of butterfat. This was a{increase/decrease}of{YoY%Chg}over last year", I don't see data of butterfat. And the YOY is fixed to compare current year or a selected year with its last year?
