Slicing through hirarchy

Dear community

I have the following challenge:

A Code with 5 levels like this:

- A34B23C

Where the levels are as following:

Level1: A

Level2: 34

Level3: B

Level4: 23

Level5: C

Now, i need to be able to select each level (including all higher levels) and filter all data accordingly.

What is best-practice for a task like this?
