Slicers/buttons reshape and move automatically after publishing to service or report portal

Hi!

I have searched for an answer but have only found an unsatisfactory advice involving checking the "lock objects" function which does not work.

The issue is that for some reports, the slicers and buttons are perfectly aligned with the same size in width and height and also with the same X position. After publishing to both the service and report portal some of the slicers/buttons reshape and reposition ever so slightly with adding, removing and repositioning just a pixel left/right/up/down.

The problem doesn't just stop here. When I in a local file align and sync their sizes they sometimes resize and reposition after saving the file and opening it again.

This bug has ocurred now with both my current employer's environment (service) and my previous employer who used local publishing.

It looks to my customers like I don't care about aligning my report properly, which I really don't want.

Hello!

Thanks for your reply.

I have the latest version, Version: 2.91.701.0 64-bit (march 2021), this issue occured however the beginning of last year too. I have not changed any theme. I have only created buttons, no change to anything else other than creating the report itself.

I have checked (and corrected several times ) the positions and sizes under general and they clearly change by one pixel between reopening the local pbi file and after publishing.

This issue has only occured for two of my reports, all other reports I have made have as far I as know not experienced this issue.

I'm leaning towards this being a one-off, hard to reproduce and hard to solve.

I think I'll just create entirely new buttons and remove the old.

Hi @KrisD ,

Would you please try to use the latest version of power bi desktop? And did you confirm the issue by the postion options? It works all well on my side. Did you change the themes?

@KrisD , Not very clear, is someone changing the alignment. Because that can be done on power bi service too if permission has been provided.

After publish, clear browser cache, refresh and check the alignment, if that is different? then there can be an issue

Thanks for the tip, it did not however change anything. And even if it did, it would not explain why the problem persists in my local file after saving and opening it again.
