Slicers and OR statement

Hi,

I have had a request to set up a report in PBI that would require a slicer that always "OR".

For example , I have a data set that has Name 1 and Name 2 in it. I want th user to be able to filter the data in the visuals to show if the data is in Name 1 or Name 2

Can this be done in PBI ?

Thank you for coming back.

Sorry that not it thats just selecting item in a row

I have two columns and I need the user to be able to check in both columns and bring back the data if their selections are in either column.

Thank you again

Could you paste some sample data or share the pbix file, if the data is not sensitive?

Sorry the data is sensitive but here's a mock up

Account Name 1Name 2
123JohnPeter
456MaryDavid
789PeterPaul

So from the slicer(s) the user for example wants all data where Name 1 = John and Name 2 = Paul

So in this instance you would get a list showing account no's 123 and 789

Hope this helps:

Cool Thank you so Much.. I'll give it a go

Slicers Name1 and Name2 are created from the columns in the newly created Tables Name 1 and Name 2

Table:

Name1 = VALUES('Table'[Name 1])

Table:

Name2 = VALUES('Table'[Name 2])

Thank you I have used the Union solution in the blog it works really well. I ahve also extended to three slicers 🙂

Thank you , I will take a look
