Hi All, I currently have an issue with the out of the box 'Slicer' visual in the desktop.
When i include multiple fields (a hierarchy) to view in dropdown on the visual, if i make a selection below the top level, it shows me a full conncatenation of the selection in the preview pane.
If i select 'Finance' which sits in Level 3, i should only see 'Finance' in the preview pane.
Instead what i see is: Profit Center + Business Area + Finance
previously, it seemes like we would only see the child node selelcted and not all the parent nodes. Any thoughts on how to revert back?
Hello, did you find a solution for your issue ? I have exactly the same problem...
HI @Anonymous,
If you only filter with specific level field values, it will apply on that level and not affect its parents.
If you want to keep the previous effect, I'd like to suggest contact to power bi visual team to report this and add support to switch between two modes.
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
@Anonymous ,The information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please explain with an example.
Appreciate your Kudos.
