Hi @govind_021
Save the report with Latest Month selected. However if persistent filter in the service is enabled, Power BI will remember the user's latest filters/bookmarks state and will not go back to what's been saved until the reset button is clicked. Please see screenshot of the reset button
Persistent filters are enabled by default but can be disabled from report settings in desktop or service

Hi @govind_021 ,
If you save the report with the selection "Latest Month" then by default always this value will be selected.
So next month default view will be with the Latest Month selection.

Hello, lkalawski and danextian ,thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answers are excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hi,@govind_021 . I am glad to help you.
Here are my additional suggestions for some common practices on how to set up the slicer to select the latest date.
1.create calculate column.(slicer columns)
2.use measure to filter data.
(The slicer only passes filtered data, it does not have a filtering effect, and no relationship is created between the models: between the data table and the slicer date.)
I hope the following related already solved issues will be helpful to you.

Solved: How to display dashboard refresh date into filter ... - Microsoft Fabric Community
For setting the slicer to always show the latest date selected when a report is opened, the following steps are generally taken.
1. The report will generally open with the report selections from the last time it was saved as the initial state.
2. You need to manage report settings in Power BI Desktop.
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Carson Jian
