Hi Team Power BI!
I have two tables with a relationship that both have a text column called Date. They are formatted the same. I have created a matrix visual that pulls a different measure (Actions) from table 1 and another measure (Hours) from table 2. Looks good until I throw in a slicer visual. When I use the date measure from table 1 it slices only the Actions; when I use if from table 2 it only slices the hours. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @MBWATSON
May I know why Date columns are of type Text?

@aj1973 They are month and year and manually entered columns. They work in other tabs of the report as text to filter to the month desired. Those visuals also use multiple tables. Why text? That was the easiest way to enter them via "New Column" i.e. Date = "September" etc.
Not sure if that's the only easiest way!

That is unfortunately not an option due to work restrictions.

Hi,
Your approach should be to create a Calendar Table. Build a relationship (Many to One and Single) from the date column of both tables to the Date column of the Calendar Table. To your visual, drag Date from the Calendar Table.
Hi,
Share the download link of your PBI file.
Also, I tried changing them to date format but it didn't change the outcome.
