Let's say that I make a metric that sums up the values in columns A, B, C, D, and E. Is is possible to make a slicer that has A, B, C, D, and E as the choice, and when I unselect them, I only see the sum of those selected. So for example, if I only checked B, D, and E, I would only see the sum of B, D, and E and not A or C?

Currently, there is no such a functionally to achieve your requirement, slicer cannot based on columns name. To work around this issue, you can Unpivot your table. Please refer to the steps below.
Now you can filter your data in slicer by attribute column.

The wording of your post is not clear at the moment.
The sum of a column is 1 value; and so you have 5 values (for 5 columns).
Are you trying to manipulate the math of the overall total (sum) of those 5 values by selecting which of the 5 get summed together into an overall total - or - are you attempting to control the visibility of the entire column in a visual by selecting the column's total?
