Hello
I've come across a serious (imo) limitation of the (numeric range) Slicer that isn't currently listed under 'Limitations and considerations' on the relevant PBI documentation page. To clarify: I have a report with multiple slicers - some categorical, some numerical - that need cross filtering, i.e. when a selection is made in one filter, the available options in other filters should be reduced if it follows from the underlying data. Because of the numeric data I prefer some of my Slicers to have a slider (i.e. select the 'Between' option).
The principle of cross filtering across slicers works fine if the 'List' or 'Dropdown' options are selected for the Slicer but NOT if the 'Between', 'Less than or equal to' or 'Greater than or equal to' options are selected, see screenshot below:
I really hope this can be amended in a near-future release. In the mean time, does anyone know of an alternative slicer that meets above criteria, i.e. comes with a slider AND enables cross filtering across slicers?
Many thanks, Bastiaan
Solved! Go to Solution.
Actually if you go to the edit interactions and enable the interaction between the slicers it will work correctly:

hi @natabird3, thanks for quick reply!! You're right, I was too hasty there.
For some reason we have to actively change the interaction from None to Filtering if the 'Between' option is selected for the Slicer whereas the interaction is set to Filtering by default if the 'Dropdown' or 'List' option is selected.
Thanks, Bastiaan
Glad i helped 🙂
So am I 😉
