Slicer (New) Image

I have a table with images stored as base64 strings. Some images are big and have multiple records, so I use a DAX measure to concatenate all text strings and rebuild the base64 images. Images show perfectly well on a Table, Card (New), and other visuals, however, there is no way to make the same images appear in the Slicer (New) visual. I tried using very small, low-resolution images with no results.
Any ideas or workaround to make images appear in the Slice(New) visual?   Is anyone experiencing a similar issue? Thank!

Hello All - I have a couple of things that I woud like to ask:

1) When I update the image using the url on the slicer, in PBI Desktop it does not show up, but when I publish in Service, I am able to see it. What could be the issue.

2) Also I have the image whcih shows up in circular way, but when I try on PBI desktop, I do not see that as a feature.

3) I have a SP Document Library where I have the picture updated and the link of the same is in SP List Hyperlink. in PBI desktop, I have changed the format to IMage URL.

PS - I am on March 2024 version of PBI Desktop.

Same issue here...
Diagnosed a bit via deployed on service: Utilizing one Base64 column and one external URL - both display correctly in a table - can confirm the Base64 definition is silently omitted:

Working with External URL:

Not working with Base64:

WilkoH_1-1705335888476.png

--> The whole "background-image" attribute is missing.

Fixing this would be highly appreciated to avoid introducing undesired dependency on external system URLs!

Thanks. None of those links helped to figure out why my images don't show in the Slicer (New) Button. Images appear perfectly well in all other visuals except the Slicer (New) Button, regardless of image size or length of the base64 string.
