Hello,
I have a stacked area chart showing revenue from three different sources over time on a page. I've been tasked with adding the same visual to the page, but giving the user the option of adding one or more projects based on the type of revenue. So, for example:
Project Source Amount
P1 Under Contract $10,000
P2 Contract Pending $10,000
P3 Lead $ 1,000
P4 Lead $ 1,000
P5 Lead $ 8,000
Total $30,000
Each source is colored along the time line. What I am trying to do is take the same visual, but exclude all leads and add a slicer/filter that allows the user to add leads by clicking on the particular lead and then having the revenue show in visual. I would start with $20,000 and then give the user the opportunity to add P3, or P4, or P5 to the visual. I tried using "Edit Interactions" from the format menu, but that is an all or nothing option; e.g., either it's filtered or it's not. To summarize, the second visual has all of "Under Contract" and all of "Contract Pending," but $0 to start with in Lead. The user then clicks on however many leads they want to add in and then the visual would reflect their selections.
Thanks.
PS I would normal put a file out, but our infrastructure group says nyet to external file links even if it's a One-Drive folder.

The hierarchy slicer solved my problem.
