Single row visual timeline?

Hi there Community - 

Apologies in advance for what may seem to be a vague post. I'm looking to present some gantt-like data on a single row, with marks to indicate tasks. Visually, looking something like this:

I've tried a few options but haven't really gotten anywhere.

Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

Have you tried any of the custom Gannt visuals?

I have checked those out but haven't found what I've been looking for. In each case, the 'task' creates a new row in the visual (which makes perfect sense for a traditional Gantt). I might play around with some options a little further.
