Hi all,
I'm hoping this is pretty simple.
I have quite a large database, with some rows duplicated for various reasons. There is a reference column to identify each work package. This reference is duplicated across some rows.
Next to that I have the status, and the next column is simply the year it was raised. My last column is the year the work package will close.
What I'm after is a pie chart that shows for all items raised in XX (using a slicer) the pie chart will show how many are closing in each year.
The issues I'm having though are firstly I can't get it to group on the reference, so if it's split across 3 rows I only want it counted once (the year will be the same across the 3 rows)
Secondly, I only want it to show items that have a status of open.
Third I also need a count of items closed in the year selected in the slicer.
My guess is I need a query which produces a table to break down how many closed that year, then how many close next year, the year after etc etc. I just can't work out how to do it.
Anyone able to assist please?
Thanks in advance
