Show only 1 value based on price hierarchy

I am creating a Pricing report where i have to show the pricing of an item(s) but can only show a single price based on the Acct Type Hierarchy.

Pricing Hierarchy Acct Type:

Hospital

Direct

OTher

So if for example:

item #100 has 3 different prices

$50 - Direct

$75 - Hospital

$90 - Other

The Price i would want users to see is the $75 Hospital price b/c its the top Acct Type based on the Hierarchy.

How would i go about displaying this in a table via a measure in PowerBi?

Hi,

I am not clear with your expected result.  Could you take an example with a few rows of data (please also include items which do not have prices for all 3 acct types) and show the expected result in a Table .

We have to look at the pricing of items via a customer account and item slicer.

When we set the customer account and item slicer there are some instances where we have 1 item with multiple prices sold to the different account types mentioned above in the hierarchy

So in the screenshot above under Cust Account #500 there are 2 of the same item sold at different prices. I created a sort code table. In this case the item with sort code #8 is the one i want displayed.

I have account types in the hierarchy that ranfe from 1-13.

I believe i need to use summarize/addcolumn function but not sure where to go after

Hi @AA622

If I understand it correctly, you want to show an item's price which has the smallest sortcode, right? You can add a topN filter to the table and set it to show Bottom 1 items based on sortcode value.

Kindly let me know if this helps.

Hi,

Share the download link of your PBI file with the sortcode column.
