Show category in Matrix table

Hello professionals, I have created a matrix table as below

but I need to show like this

so I need to to get a category lable for every 3 columns

 

please note: I am using calculated measures as columns

Hi @Anonymous, thank you for follow up, I have created 3 tables in power query (MTD, YTD, ITD) and append them and I got this output

now you can see all the values are same. The desired outcome is to get cumulative YTD or cumulative ITD.

I can do this in DAX, but I don't know how to calculate the tables within the power query.

My concern is to get the output through power query.

Hi @jaipal 

I think the result you want in your screenshot is to get hierachy level in Column Field in Matrix. However [Revenue], [Margin] and [%] are all measure/column names in Value field in Matrix. We couldn't create hierachy level in matrix by column headers. You need to transform your table like unpivot to get two column [Level1] and [Level2].

They looks like as below.

Level1               Level2

JOB to Date      Revenue

JOB to Date      Margin

JOB to Date      %

...

Add them in Column in Matrix and get the hierachy level you want.
