Sharing Data Relationships

Hi,

I have four tables which all have the same data column but I am having to create either multiple slicers or filters.

E.g. [Country] or [Product]

How can I share this relationship so that I only need to use one filter or sliver?

Create dimension tables with all the (uniques) Countries/Products/etc you want to filter. Then make relationship between this Dim. Tables and your 4 other tables, and use the Dimension Tables' columns on the slicers.

• How can I create a table with this data in?
• How can I create the relationships?

@CrisYan I have created a new table with columns with th shared values in them. But I am struggling to connect this to all of the other tables (which all have at least one of the values in them).

Is the table "UK Revenue" the new table you created? I would suggest you create one dimension a table like below. Finally, we can get all the unique values without blanks.

Hi @v-jiascu-msft,

I created the 'Fields' table in excel including columns of all the shared values to be the dimensions table.

Is this not what I was meant to do?

I need to connect all of the other tables you can see and can delete the 'Fields' table if this is not the best practice way to do it.

Hi Dominic,

As far as I know, one dimension table only contains one field. For example, Date table, Product table. We don't integrate these two tables together. Please refer to the snapshot below. It could be easy to establish relationships and control the result.
