Hi there, I have SharePoint on-prem installed and trying to follow this tutorial:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/combining-excel-files-hosted-on-a-sharepoint-folder/
I'm curious if SharePoint folder is only compatible with SharePoint online (sharepoint.com) at the moment? I haven't been able to connect to our SharePoint on-prem using SharePoint folder as data source.
Solved! Go to Solution.
It works in Advanced Editor using source = Sharepoint.Files ()
Hi @diskovered,

We could get data with SharePoint Folder connector from SharePoint on-premises. The way should be similar with that get data from SharePoint online.
From this similar thread, please make sure that you are entering the site URL of your SharePoint site in Power BI Desktop and use Windows authentication when get data from SharePoint on-prem .
Best Regards,
Cherry
