Ok - it just takes more clicks...
Hello,
I had to deactivate the new Feature because it was impossible to open my .pbix files.
After deactivating I'm able to open all Reports.
Thank you for this feedback. We need more information to understand the issue you're experiencing. Can you submit a support ticket through https://powerbi.microsoft.com/support/ so our engineering team will can follow up accordingly?
How do you get a slider on a slicer and why, oh why, does it take more clicks now to get where you want to?
Thank you for this feedback. Modifying the slicer type to a slider should still be the same as the old pane, are you seeing something different? Re: more clicks, have you been using the context menu to quickly expand all the categories? Would adding an option to persistent this expansion always, address your concern on the added clicks?
I think I was witnessing a bug, a copied visual which had a slider completely lost the slider and the option to select it. Recreating the visual gave me the option to use a slider again. I've also noticed some odd behaviour with visual titles (what's typed appears on the actual visual real-time, but the input box has a lag and loses characters).
As for number of clicks, I think the separation across the two "tabs" visual and general it's what's adding to the workflow. I guess some of this will be muscle memory after a while, but as others have said, there's an awful lot to present and very little real-estate on the screen.
Why the side panels for formatting? Why not have all this on a ribbon?
I would be interested to see the previous user feedback which indicated that we needed to have MORE mouse clicks instead of LESS to get to where we wanted.
Change simply for the sake of change does not constitute progress.
Missing Icon size option in new format pane for Buttons.

Also i am getting a error while loading the icons in a button after disabling the New Format Pane Feature. Never had this error before. Attaching the error details also. Power bi Error
New format pane is still missing Formular Destination for PageNavigation Button Actions.
Old Pane:
New Pane:
This is why I've turned off the new format pane as we are currently using measures to create conditional navigation.
Hi @RosieL,
I don't know is it just me or the design really did changed? but these Pie chart and Donut chart icons in new format pan not in round shape. I have noticed in February 2022 Update.
I am unable to view the Outline option for the Table visual which used to exist in the older format pane, and it is missing in the new format pane (for preview)
I even tried checking it manually to see if there was any change in the name of the 'outline' feature, but I am unable to view and also the search option returned nothing.
Thanks for reporting. We have re-added the missing outline options now called "border" for table and matrix.
I switched the preview setting off after trying it for ≈1 day. My main reasoning for not using it at this time is several of key features which were missing, or I was unable to easily find (some of these I think have been logged elsewhere as issues).
In my short time using it, my primary impressions are that
Obviously, I think it will be easier for me (and others) to give true feedback on the re-design once the bugs and missing features no longer prevent us from using it on a day-to-day basis.
Thank you for this feedback. We've added the missing items you highlight here. Looking forward to more comments as you use the new pane.
