Shapemap creating a dynamic range for color gradient

Hi all,

I am using a shapemap plot in PBI. In "format visuals" -> "Fill colors" -> "Colors" it lets you specify a minimum, centre and maximum value so that the gradient can cover the range of the data. However, the range of my data changes based on a filter. so the minimum, centre and maximum values are not appropriate in all cases.

Is there a way to set a dynamic range, or have the minimum, centre and maximum values change based on the range of data.

thanks

  • TheYesMan , There should be an option fx for conditional formatting. If this doesn't appear try using reset to default button for fill colors.

This is the domain of conditional formatting.

  • TheYesMan , Instead of using a column, use a measure that can record that change in data and use that measure as the field in "What field should we base this on?"

Thank you for your reply, my "format visualizations" looks different to yours, I only have the narrow box on the right side of PBI. I don't have the option to select "what field should we base this on". Have attached an image of what my visualizations box looks like.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

      many thanks
