Hi people! I would like to know the proper format and where i can find a map of Argentina divided by departments in order to create a Shape Map on Power BI. I tried a lot of things but the map does not appear on the screen and i do not know which is the problem. Help on how to create the Shape Map itself is also apreciated. Thanks!
Is not easy to find a custom shapemap file because creating one takes a lot of effort. If you're looking for something divided by departments, you might need to hire someone to create that for you. GADM has some free shapemap files (.shp) by administrative region.

Power BI requires them to be in topojson format so they need to converted first. You can use https://mapshaper.org/ for that.
Hi @danextian I Am able to create the map but i cant put the colours on adding data related to you population. Any suggestion?
A shapemap file usually has some kind of map keys. Any of these keys, depending on the desired granularity must exist in you data and to be added to the location tile of shapemap.
Hi Danextian! Thanks for you response. I will try as soon as possible what you recommended. I will be telling you if it worked!
