Shape Map with custom map in TopoJSON format not working

Hi all,

I am trying to use this custom map in TopoJSON format in Shape Map

When I click on 'view map type key', I see that the TopoJSON map uses these keys:

So I ensured that my data file contains the key as well, and added Country_2 to Location and 2020 to Color Saturation:

But when I have added the custom map and the data file to the report, I only get a grey globe as displayed here:

I think I did everything required but still I can't manage to get the map displayed correctly. I also read all information on Shape map issues on this forum (like this one) but they do not seem to address my problem. Does anyone (maybe @HotChilli ?) know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks a lot!

I'm having the same issue. It looks perfect on mapshapper:

But this is how it looks on Power BI:

I've tried different formats. TopoJSON was the only one that showed something other than blank and allowed me to see map keys:

It looks like a map projection issue rather than mapkeys.  What does it look like in mapshaper?

If you try some of the other projection types in powerbi and it makes the visual look like a Picasso painting, it means the solution is to load the shapemap into mapshaper and convert the proj type to wgs84.

Search some of my old solutions or the web for details.
