Hello @all,
I try to integrate a topojson map in power BI Shape map visual but without success.
The idea is to take a dwg file, transform it into topoJSON and then load it into power BI.
To convert the dwg file into TopoJSON, I use FME :
Please see below the original plan :
And what I get when it is converted into TopoJSON :
When I verify that my plan is correct via mapShaper I obtain this :
Which seems to be ok to me.
How ever, when I load this plan on power BI, I obtain this :
which is not my original plan at all.
More details on power BI side :
It seems like there is a projection error or something.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong?
What is the solution to my problem ?
Thank you in advance !
Hi @Anonymous ,
I can not reproduce your issue, I use a sample json to do that it works ok. The shape map is on preview. You can try another visual Synoptic Panel to do that.
For more details you can refer this.

Hello,
I already know synoptic panel, but it is not what I want.
I just dont understand what are the geographic coordinates that shape map visual need.
Do you know ?
Thank you in advance!
for geocoded shapes use mapshaper.org
What if it's a basic dwg file ?
Synoptic Panel or similar.
