Hello,
I am using a shape map to visualize some data. I just wanted to know how the filtering on the shape map works. When I select something on the map, I expected the map to apply a filter to the table that it is getting its locations from. Below I have a simple dataset:
Then I create one map based on the state column and two slicers based on the number and name. Like so:
Now, when I select one state on the map, no filtering is applied to the slicers:
But when I select a state in the name slicer, it behaves as expected, and everything is filtered:
Is this the expected behavior? Is the shape map not suppose to filter slicers?
Thank you!

Hi @vega,
As I tested, it's a expected behaviour. After research, not only shape map, all visualization are unsupported to filter slicers because Power BI Desktop doesn’t support visual level filter on slicer. Please review the following blog, feature requestsand vote them.

Auto Filter for Slicers
Apply filter to slicers
