Dear all I am new with Power BI desktop, I have a huge amount of daily excel files stored in local harddisk, and imported to PBI by folder. It take ver long time to refresh data when I have a new daily file added in the folder. I have try to create a Incremental refresh but it still refresh all the files.
A warrning message was found when I setup the Incremental refresh, it mean i can't use on local data?
Can anyone help on the issue? Thanks a lot.

Please see this video. You can leverage incremental refresh when combining files. In your case, you need a gateway to get to local files from the service. Or, preferably, store you files on a SharePoint site.

Hello @eRic_LaU ,
incremental refresh doesn't work with excel, it should be with a relational database.
check thhis out https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/incremental-refresh-overview
