Set Up Wizard won't execute on Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi,

I have downloaded the setup wizard on to my virtual server (running WIndows Server 2012 - which Power BI should run on) but if I try to run the .exe file nothing happens.

I've tried running it as an admin but still nothing, no error message - just nothing...

Anyone seen this before?

Which .exe file do you run? which version is it?

Power BI Desktop or Power BI Report Server? (see completed system requirements for Power BI Report Server here)

If you install Power BI Desktop,

Do you download it from MS Store?

As tested, the version there maybe not work, you could download the lastest version here.

Please select the correct type for your system(32 bit or 64 bit).

Hi @v-juanli-msft 

I downloaded the setup wizard from Power BI and have tried running both the standard 32-bit one and the x64 but I know that the x64 is the right one - the same thng happens (or rather doesn't happen) with both of them.
