Sent email notification to specific user

Hi All

Have a report, which load some data from CSV file. I need to implement some check, to know, when the file is corrupted.

Question is, if there is any way to automaticaly send a email notification to a employee, who is reponsible for the CSV file?

In this report I have implemented the error handling (in power query), where the rows with errors are redirected to separe table. I want to sent a email notification, when this table is not empty, not on every refresh. The notification should be sent automaticaly, not manualy triggered.

(The end user of the report is not responsible for the CSV, he should not be notified when there is a problem).

Any idea, if this is posible in power bi?

Hi @tomas12344 ,

You may use that spare table to create a tile, for e.g. with record count or latest date etc and if that changes, a data alert can be sent automatically.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-set-data-alerts

If you think this feature is helpful in your case, try to implement and let us know if there are challenges.

Hope it helps!

How is Power BI supposed to know who is responsible for that CSV file?

Just think little bit, how PBI could know this???
