Send an Alert e-mail

Hi All,

I have a matrix table, in that we table i have column called weeks which has data like 14 weeks, 13 weeks, 12 weeks, 11 weeks, 10 weeks and so on. Now what i need is whenever i see the data for 10weeks i should receive an alert e-mail, if the data is above 10weeks then nothing i need.

Can you please help me on this,

Hello @Powerbi_16 ,

alerts can't be built on matrix tables, also alerts only work on numeric values.

Regarding your question on how to set up alert emails based on specific data conditions in a matrix table. It looks like you want to monitor the value of a specific column and trigger an email alert when a condition is met.

You can achieve this with Power Automate in power bi service:

Set alert conditions in Power BI:

Open the Power BI report and navigate to the matrix table visual that contains the Week column you mentioned.

Click the ellipsis (...) in the upper right corner of the matrix table visual and select Set alert.

In the Set Alert pane, you need to define alert conditions. Since you want to be alerted to data corresponding to "10 weeks," set the condition to trigger when that value is equal to or less than 10.

Use Power Automate to automatically send email notifications:

After setting up an alert in Power BI, integrate it with Power Automate to automate the email notification process.
