Selecting metric and visualize on a shape map

So, I have just started using Power BI and I am trying to visualize metrics on a shape map.

What I want is to select a metric and it will show on the map which regions contain this metric. A region contains of individual states.

An example below shows that Metric f is available for region 2 and 3. While the donut chart highlights the regions, the shape map is not updated. Only by clicking with CTR-click on the donut chart can I select the regions. What is going wrong here?

@mdkwant,

Set cross filter direction to 'Both' in the Edit relationship dialog and take a good look at Change how visuals interact in a report.
