Seeking Assistance with Access Issues in Query Editor Due to Changed Database Credentials

Hello Experts,

I'm currently facing an issue with my Power BI project connected to a MySQL database. After the database password was updated, I can still view my dashboards and visualizations and tables on the frontend without any issues. However, when I attempt to access the Query Editor to view or transform backend data, I receive an error message prompting me to "Edit the Credentials."

Is there any way to bypass this and view the data in the Query Editor without updating the password, even temporarily?

I understand the typical procedure would involve updating the connection credentials, but I'm exploring any possible alternatives that could allow me to access the backend data under these circumstances.

Any insights or advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

No, if your password changes and PowerQuery has to refresh the data (looking for etadata changes), you have to update the password.

What you are seeing in the report is the data from the last refresh of the desktop data.
