I'm trying to create a scatterplot which will plot overlapping points for the results per hour, but have the X-Axis displayed by day. My data set looks like this (as an example) :
Date | TimeFrame | AverageResponse | Volume |
04/01/2021 | 04/01/2021 9:00AM | 2.5 | 200 |
04/01/2021 | 04/01/2021 10:00AM | 1.0 | 100 |
04/01/2021 | 04/01/2021 11:00AM | 1.5 | 150 |
04/01/2021 | 04/01/2021 12:00PM | 2.0 | 250 |
04/02/2021 | 04/02/2021 9:00AM | 2.0 | 100 |
04/02/2021 | 04/02/2021 10:00AM | 1.5 | 75 |
04/02/2021 | 04/02/2021 11:00AM | 2.0 | 350 |
04/02/2021 | 04/02/2021 12:00PM | 2.5 | 275 |
So along the X-Axis, I'm looking to have 04/01/2021 & 04/02/2021 but have 4 data plots overlapping to display the time window. Along the Y-Axis, I would have the AverageResponse. When I do this using the standard scatter chart, I'm unable to get the data plots tight enough together to display in a meaningful way:
Is there a way to accomplish this?
Hi, @evanstubbert
Try to add the Timeframe field to the X axis without the date hierarchy
Sample data:
Step 1:
Step 2:
Result:
Is this the result you want? Hope this is useful to you

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, it still results in the same issue of the data being too spread out to output in a meaningful way. Here's an example of how it's output in a separate software that we're using. The reason for pulling into PowerBI is because we're limited in the time range by 1 week in our software:
