Scatter Chart Legend Values Overlapping When They Are Identical

Hello,

I'm using a Scatter Chart in Power BI, and when I have identical values in the Legend, the labels overlap on the chart, which causes some of them not to be displayed. Is there a way to distinguish or make these labels more visible? How can I prevent the Legend labels from overlapping when they share the same value?

I would appreciate any suggestions or solutions to handle this issue.

Hi, I solved this problem by creating a table. I added a random value between 0 and 0.5 to the result of each value in the table. Then I created a connection between the table and my main table. I solved the problem by pulling the column I created from the new table, thank you for your interest.

Hi @huseyincenik_28 -using tooltips can be a great way to display more detailed information when hovering over a point on the scatter chart. If labels are overlapping, tooltips can help users still get the needed details. You can customize the tooltip to display the additional values that might be hidden by the overlapping.Go to the tooltip section in the visual pane. You can add more fields to the Tooltip well to show detailed information.

If the legend is cluttered, you might consider creating a separate visual for legends that can show all the categories without overlap. For example, you could use a card visual or a table visual placed beside the scatter chart to show the legend and their corresponding colors.

If your scatter chart has too many points or overlapping points, consider filtering the data to only display the most relevant or important segments. This can be done by applying slicers or filtering directly on the chart.
