SSL verification fail

Hi,

I keep getting this error

ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][DriverSupport] (1120) SSL verification failed because the server host name specified for the connection does not match the "CN" entry in the "Subject" field or any of the "DNS Name" entries of the "Subject Alternative Name" field in the server certificate. ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][DriverSupport] (1120) SSL verification failed because the server host name specified for the connection does not match the "CN" entry in the "Subject" field or any of the "DNS Name" entries of the "Subject Alternative Name" field in the server certificate.

I've tried to reconfigure my organisational account, and adding a timeout value as per other threads, however still not able to refresh my dashbord on dekstop - Does anyone know how to resolve this?

If i publish this, will the schedule refresh work instead (pre-scheduled, i'm updating an exisitng report)?

Cheers!

Roro

It appears that you're trying to connect to an SSL enabled datasource (MS SQL/Azure SQL) and the SSL handshake is failing because the hostname entered in the Power BI connection does not match the name (cn) value on the SSL certificate.

In Power BI desktop,  define your connection using the fully qualified name of the MS SQL/Azure SQL that you're using as a data source (no IP addresses) and try to refresh.
