SQL import into Power Bi

HI,

I have an SQL import, not direct query into Excel. My location is set to UK.

When the data is brought into Power BI, it is changing the month and day around for records when the day is 12 or less.

I have checked the record in my SQL export and they display correctly ie 07/02/2023 but PBI changes it to 02/07/2023.

Any help / insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

DOH, fat fingers, excel should be Power Bi. I fixed the issue by going into power query and changing date to date, all sorted now.

Thank you

Hello,

So let me see if I understand what you do, you have a query in SQL, you launch that query and then export the results to an excel file, and then you connect the power bi to this excel file data, is that right?
If so, check the export in the excel, it tends to change formats, also if you can add some sample data, a equivalent query to the one that u are using. Try creating a new column in excel with the function datevalue(). You can also try to select the option transform data in powerbi, when importing the excel file, and rearange the date if its wrong in there. Or create a calculated column with the rearangement of the one that you have.
With more info may be i can help a bit more.
I hope it helps.
