SPC Visual

I am trying to create a correct Statistical Process Control (SPC) Line Chart. I can get part of the data by creating a Matrix visual I can get each months' sum over the given data period (since 2018), but I dont want the current "Total", I need the average and standard deviation of each columns' value.

I need to be able to graph 4 lines:

  • The average of the columns above
  • The upper control limit - The standard deviation of each column, times 2, plus the average
  • The lower control limit - The standard deviation of each column, times 2, minus the average
  • The current year (each months sum)

In Excel it would look something like this:

I haven't been able to find a way to get the averages and standard deviations of the first graphic's columns within Power BI, please help.

Thank you

Hi

Try downloading this custom visual from github - it makes the process drag & drop.  It's free.

Installation instructions are on the first page 🙂
