SAP Hana license for deploying Power BI

For those that use Power BI to get data from SAP / Hana BW; did you requre any additional licenses from SAP?  Or does the connector simply use your existing SAP credentials and share the reports in Power BI service? 

Our consultants are telling us that there is a possiblity that SAP may require additional licenses for everyone that accesses a Power BI report even if they are all are created by the same person.  Any feedback on this is much appreciated!

@Anonymous Hi Sensei, our SAP consultant is also warning us about extra fees/licences to connect PBI to our (future) S4/Hanna solution. I suspect they are only saying this to deter us from using a 3rd party BI tool. Did you eventually sort this out? SAP's out-of-the-box BI tools don't compare to PBI. Thanks.

For normal, if you want to share a private report to others,  you and others both need the Pro license.

If you have purchased Premium and add your content to Premium, then when you share the content, the receiver could be free user.

Thanks for the response Lin.  I do have the necessary pro license for users that consume the dashboards in the service.  My question is more on the SAP side of things.  I assume people that are using Power BI to get data from BW / Hana would know if SAP requires any additional licenses for users that consume the data through the dashboards they are creating.

For users using Power BI to get data from BW / Hana, they don't need any additional licenses for power bi.

They just need credentials of BW / Hana to have access to the data source.
